An easy way to keep bean sprouts fresh and crisp for longer saving you time, money and supermarket runs – 3 May 2017
Do you ever buy bean sprouts pop them in the fridge and then a day or two later when you’re ready to use them, find they’ve gone all soft and watery? ….. argh, …. and that great meal idea that you had?…. I know frustrating.
They don’t have a long shelf life, do they!
But here’s a little trick to keep them fresh for days. I use this method now and it’s fantastic.
After you bring them home, just place them into a bowl (or container), cover them with cold water, and then place them into the refrigerator.
Change the water every 1-2 of days to keep them fresh.
You’ll be surprised how much longer they last. Now they’re ready to use when you are.
It’s that easy, which why this is the possibly the shortest post ever! 😉
